Adult social care services are provided by Durham County Council for the most vulnerable people in our community to help keep them safe and to live independently wherever possible. We also work with people who need advice and information to help them stay fit and well in their own homes for as long as possible and prevent or delay them becoming dependent on care services.

Our adult social care services support around 18,000 adults and employs around 350 staff

You can find out more about adult social care on the Durham County Council website
